Security Tips For Your Card
|
•
|
Ensure that the envelope you receive
your NCB Business Elite credit card in is
SEALED.
|
•
|
Ensure that the 4-digit PIN that you
create will be easy for you to remember.
However, we recommend that you do
not select your birthdate, telephone
number or any other easy-to-guess
combinations.
|
•
|
Memorise your PIN. Do not write it
down on your credit card, keep it on
your phone, computer, or in an app.
|
•
|
Do not share your PIN with anyone.
|
•
|
Change your PIN immediately if you
think it has been compromised.
|
•
|
You can change your PIN by calling
876-936-4222 or by visiting
www.jncb.com/activate
|
|
|
Enhanced Protection Against Fraud
|
Your new NCB Business Elite credit card
gives you advanced security every time you
shop, thanks to the power of EMV Chip and
PIN technology. The chip that is embedded
in your card acts as a micro-computer
which stores and protects your valuable
information. Each time you use your card
in-store or at an ABM, a unique number
will be generated. This number will change
every time you use your card, making it
almost impossible for your chip card to be
counterfeited.
|
|
|
|
|

|
|

transactions faster and more securely.
|
POINT OF SALE (POS) METHODS

and enter your PIN. If the merchant terminal
is not EMV-enabled, you will be asked to
Swipe & Sign.

Understanding Charges
|
Your card account will not be charged any interest
on purchases and fees once the full payment of
the statement balance is received on or before
the payment due date.
|
Joining Fee: Upon issuance of your NCB credit
card, a joining fee will be charged to your account
and included on your first monthly statement.
|
Annual Fee: On the anniversary date of your
account, an annual membership fee will be
applied.
|
Interest: If we do not receive your payment
within the period, we will charge you interest
on each purchase and fees applicable from the
date of the transaction to the date that the full
payment is received. For cash advances, interest
is calculated daily and charged from the date of
the cash advance until the cash advance is paid
in full.
|
Late Payment Fee: A late payment fee will be
applied if the minimum payment is not made by
the due date.
|
|
Over the Limit Fees: Any transaction, fee or
charge that takes your credit card account over
the authorised limit will result in an over limit fee.
|
Currency Conversion: When a credit card is
used to make purchases or cash advances
in any currency other than that of the card
account, a conversion will be done at the daily
rate of exchange. All conversion fees and any
other expenses incurred in the processing of the
transaction will be applicable and charged to
your account.
|
Cash-like transactions: Cash-like transactions
are those involving the purchase of items directly
convertible into cash or otherwise similar to cash.
These include money orders, wire transfers,
travelers’ cheques, foreign currency purchases,
stocks or shares and gaming transactions
(including betting, off-track betting, race track
wagers and casino gaming chips). A cash
advance fee and interest will be applicable to all
‘cash-like’ transactions.
